PHT (Pädagogische Hochschule Tirol) is the University College of Teacher Education Tyrol. This platform, Essentials of Hearing and its first interactive content, the wodden ear experiments have been developed in close collaboration between MED-EL and the Institute for Didactical and Educational Research and Development (IFE) .
The University College of Teacher Education Tyrol (PHT) is together with the University of Innsbruck responsible for the vocational training and continuing professional development of all teacher in Tyrol, Austira. The Institute for Didactical and Educational Research and Development (IFE) is a sub-division of the PHT. The main focus of the IFE is on research and development in didactics and educational sciences, as well as the transfer of the knowledge gained to training and further education and to educational practice. The institue also supports projects to improve teaching practise, like Essentials of Hearing.
