Michael Schwarzer

Dr. Michael Schwarzer studied Physics and Mathematics for Teacher at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. He received his PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in 1993 for his work about Environmental Education in Physics Teaching. Since 1993 he is working as a teacher at the Gymnasium in Reutte/Tyrol. Since 2005 he is the coordinator for the Physics Olympics in Tyrol. In 2009 Michael got the teachers award from the Tyrolean Industry Association for the most inspiring physics lesson. In 2010 he started to work part time for the Institute for Didactical and Educational Research and Development (IFE) at the University College of Teacher Education Tyrol. His main project is the research on physics experiments in written tests and examinations. He developed a box for students to practice physics experiments at home. Since 2017 he also works as a lecturer for physics teacher trainees at the University of Innsbruck.
